The Secret of Your Health May Lie in Your Liver

girlhidingfacewithhandsDid you realize that the word hypochondria is associated with the liver? Most people understand it to mean having so many health complaints that it seems you’re always complaining. But centuries ago, doctors used to think that a great deal of health problems came from the hypochondriac region, defined as the area under the ribs. This is where the liver is, on the right side under the ribs.

Even though the notion of demons and black bile causing your illnesses is a thing of the past (hopefully), your liver still needs some loving, nutritious attention. This is because the liver is responsible for so many functions that, if it’s not working up to speed, you may start to complain like a hypochondriac!

Feed your liver real, whole foods such as beets, dandelion greens, carrots, milk thistle and spinach. If you can’t eat all these foods regularly, at least take VitaLiv, which contains these foods and more. You need your liver for producing good cholesterol, breaking down fats, creating important hormones, processing toxins and making vitamin A out of carotene-containing foods. When you feed your liver, you feed your health in more ways than can be counted.
