Respiratory Diseases – Asthma, Bronchitis & Other Lung Problems

By Vic Shayne, PhD

When your breathing is affected by asthma, bronchitis, emphasema, pneumonia and other diseases, your entire body is traumatized. The simple reason for this is because you need oxygen in every part of your body in order to function in good health. Your heart, muscles, brain and blood cells demand a constant supply of oxygen, and the oxygen they need first enters your body through your lungs. Healthy lungs require real food nutrients, and the health of the lungs is adversely affected by bad food choices, air pollution and toxins from other sources.

Adjunctive Nutritional Schedule
GreenNutrients: 10 per day
CodLiver Oil: 2 capsules per day
CalMag Balance: 8 tablets per day
FlavoC: 6 tablets per day
ImmuneSupport : 4 tablets a day

Extra support also comes from:
CaroC: 6 tablets a day
VasCor Complex: 2 tablets per day
FishOils: 4 capsules per day

With fibroids, increase
CodLiver Oil to 4 total capsules a day

Diet greatly affects the lungs. Poor food choices may lead to asthmatic fits, congestion, mucous buildup, wheezing and shortness of breath. Bad fats, fried foods, eggs, cheese, milk, cream, margarine, hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, MSG and a slew of artificial ingredients all break down healthy tissue. If you are particularly susceptible to lung problems, then they begin to damage your lungs.

Of course, the most obvious assaults on the lungs include: cigarette, cigar and marijuana smoke, toxic fumes (gasoline, paint thinners, paint, nail polish, perfumes, vehicle exhaust, carbon monoxide, house mite dust, animal dander, plastics, home construction dust, and dust from other sources ranging from coal to silica). It is always best to avoid these, and if you have to work around them, wear a mask that filters them out. A home air filter is suggested for anyone interested in increasing the health of his/her lungs. If you live in an especially dry climate, consider getting air humidifier.

Whenever you are beset by any lung condition, the first thing to do is to go on a wise, restricted diet to avoid those foods that tend to cause inflammation, mucous build up, congestion, irritation and stress. (See Alkaline Diet). Next, take the supplements that contain foods that support healthy lungs with vitamins, minerals, bioflavonoids, essential fatty acids and amino acids (See Adjunctive Nutritional Schedule above). The lungs must be kept expanded, and the main substance to achieve this is vitamin C complex (See FlavoC and CaroC). Green foods provide alkaline ash minerals which are helpful in allowing the body to relax and dilate the bronchioles for more air flow. And there are certain herbs and foods that help dilate blood vessels to allow more oxygen-carrying air into the bloodstream (See VasCor Complex)
