How to do less and get more
What is eating all about, anyway? It’s about putting food in your mouth, chewing, swallowing and going on your merry way. Right? Not necessarily.
Eating should be about putting nutrients in your body. Nutrients are needed by every cell for disease prevention, healing, energy, immunity and so on. But we pay outrageous amounts of money that are associated with eating — money that you may not have thought about or even connected with eating. There are costs of food, of course, but also, as a result of wrong food, there are medical expenses, missed work, the priceless cost of feeling crappy, supplements, pills, drugs, inhalers, hot water and stress. Stress is a biggie. It costs you in years off your life.
There is an antidote: eat less and get more. You can eat less food, but increase the quality. Bad foods are almost everything that comes in a box, can or wrapper. Good foods, which are less money but actually build your health, are vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and good fats (coconut butter, olive oil). If you get meat out of your diet, your grocery bills will come down so far that it may make your cutting board spin in circles!
Lastly, why pay for vitamin pills when you can have the whole food in a supplement? You should look into this as well, because whole food supplements will add to your nutrient bank account.
