Health Question: How Many Milligrams?

Health Question: I am afraid to take unnatural vitamins because I think they are not good for me or my family. But I am still wondering how much vitamin B is in your whole food product and how many milligrams of vitamin C are in your vitamin C product? Also, are liquid vitamins and minerals better? How about standardized vitamins and herbs?

Answer: The scientific fact is that no vitamin is “natural” if it no longer is contained within its original food. Can a heart function if it is no longer contained within a body? Of course not.

The term “natural” is very misleading. A vitamin or mineral is only part of a food, but if it is removed from its food, it no longer contains a whole host of “helper” nutrients that make nature’s foods successful in healing and prevention. No vitamin or mineral is ever found alone (in ISOLATION) in nature. There is no such thing as a vitamin tree.

We do not advocate or offer products that contain vitamins, minerals, amino acids or other chemicals that are not contained within their ORIGINAL foods. WHY NOT? Because we’re not in the pharmaceuticals business, we’re in the NUTRITION field where Nature’s original nutrient COMPLEXES are the most important considerations for health, repair, digestion, synergy,
prevention, maintenance and immunity. For example, each carrot has a different quantity of vitamins and minerals.
This is the way Nature works.

Standardization is a process wherein a manufacturer adds artificial, unnatural vitamins, bioflavonoids, carotenoids, etc. to a food to increase the minimum dosages of specific nutrients. Standardization is not natural; it is a man-made practice that defies trust in Nature’s complex, interwoven design that balances nutrient groups, energy fields, cofactors, subfactors and synergists in each of her foods and herbs. Nature’s foods are the result of billions of years of INTELLIGENT, intricate, delicate design. Not so of chemicals, isolated vitamins and other inventions of scientists. Scientists cannot duplicate life.

Each carrot, broccoli floret, mushroom, berry, dandelion leaf and bushel of alfalfa or ounce of wheat grass yields a varying quantity of vitamins, amino acids, phytonutrients, trace minerals, minerals and other nutrients. This is the way Nature works. Standardization & isolated/synthetic vitamin usage is not natural; it is a man-made concept that defies trust in the innate intelligence of Nature. Nature provides a complete, complex, interwoven design with balanced nutrient groups, energy fields, cofactors, subfactors and synergists in every food and herb.

Companies practicing pharmacology (makers of vitamin pills and multivitamins) insist on standardization and assays, but they overlook, ignore or do not understand the value of real nutrition, food complexes and the synergistic relationships of Nature’s nutrients. Standardization is monkeying around with nature.

Because this is our philosophy, and we are food researchers and nutritionists:
We don’t standardize our herbs
We don’t standardize our foods
We don’t compete for the most milligrams
We don’t assay our foods for vitamin content

The difference is BIOchemistry versus chemistry. Our whole food supplements provide vital, live nutrients that are not found in other supplements. That’s why we do not play the unnatural game of assays, high dosages, standardization or competition for milligrams. Nor do we mix fractions and synthetics (such as vitamin A palmitate, pyroxidine, niacinamide, mixed tocopherols, beta carotene, ascorbic acid, etc.) in with whole foods.

Nutrient complexes found in NutriPlex Formulas’ whole food concentrates provide biochemical balance for cellular maintenance, growth, immune response, motility, replication and repair. Here are just a few of the ingredients found in nature’s own ratios within whole foods and the whole food supplements we offer (and are NOT found in vitamin or mineral supplements):
• amino acids • plant pigments • whole proteins
• trace minerals • antioxidants • natural flavors
• vitamins & covitamins • enzymes • fiber
• minerals • coenzymes • live energy • phytoestrogens
• chlorophyll • phytochemicals • phytosterols
• essential fatty acids • bioflavonoids • more

When you go into the grocery store for carrots, apples, broccoli, spinach, raw cheese, oranges or radishes, there is NO sign telling you the exact amount of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, carotenoids or proteins are in these foods. That is because nature has created a balanced blend of a wide variety of interactive nutrients within each food. Each ingredient supports the other ingredients, from the vitamins to the fiber to the pigments. The idea of high milligrams, standardization and high dosages is an invention of scientists; we would rather put our trust in the innate wisdom and COMPLETENESS of nature’s foods than scientific concoctions. The latter always lead to side effects and biochemical imbalances.
