Health Question: How Can I Build Up My Immune System?
by Vic Shayne, PhD
I received a question that is actually fairly common: “How can I build up my immune system? I’ve read a dozen articles on the internet and they are either too complicated to understand (I’m not a scientist, you know!!) or they lack any evidence. I appreciate your help and your answer.”
I can appreciate your frustration in this area, as well as your need to know how to BECOME HEALTHIER. So I’ll keep it simple instead of getting into a bunch of complicated talk about B cells, T cells, phagocytes, lymphocytes, etc.
Simply put, the immune system is a complex means of fighting off illness and keeping us healthy. That said, you only need to remember three SCIENTIFIC FACTS:
- If you eat bad foods such as bad oils, sugars and artificial ingredients, you will injure your immune system;
- There are a number of super foods that support your immune system; and
- Lifestyle has much to do with the health of your immune system
The best way to build it up, then, is to exercise five days a week, reduce stress, avoid the bad foods (above), and eat the right foods (mostly fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts). Plus, for extra support you can take Immune Support, Ultimate Defense and SuperGreens PhytoFood, as these products contain SUPER FOODS with antioxidants and detoxifiers. Best of health!
