The Olive Oil Industry is Full of Fraud — you may not be eating the real thing
The olive oil industry is riddled with fraudulent practices. Most olive oil is a low-grade mixture of olive oil and canola oil that has been deodorized and artificially colored — even if the label states “extra virgin, cold pressed.” Even if the label states that it was made in Italy.

Enzymes Help Digestion

661386_holiday_banquet.jpgDigestive enzymes. They’re little particles that break down food particles that can be better used by your body. Your body produces several types of enzymes, chief of which are enzymes that split fats, ones that break down proteins, and ones that work on carbohydrates. If working normally, and if we are eating real foods, our bodies are equipped with enzymes to break down and utilize foods. Enzyme secretion begins in your mouth with substances to break down carbohydrates, your stomach secretes acids to break down proteins, and your gallbladder secretes bile to work on fats.

It’s a great system if your body is working optimally, and if the foods that you are eating are natural. Otherwise, you may need some help. This is where digestive enzymes come in. If you’re having trouble digesting, then digestive enzymes can be just what the doctor ordered. How do you know if you’re having digestive problems? Some possible heath hints include one or more of the following:

  • gallbladder problems (especially gallbladder removal)
  • indigestion
  • bloating and burping after eatingdigestplex.jpg
  • excessive mucus from eating

Further, there are times we overeat or eat the wrong foods and want to help our bodies out, like when you eat too much pizza, too many fatty foods, too much of a rich dessert, etc. While it’s not a good idea to chronically pop digestive enzymes after every meal, there are times when digestive enzymes can help. If you have a chronic problem with your digestion, it’s best to have your doctor check you out.
Adults may take one or two DigestPlex following each meal (maximum 4 tablets per day unless otherwise recommended by doctor).
