The Olive Oil Industry is Full of Fraud — you may not be eating the real thing
The olive oil industry is riddled with fraudulent practices. Most olive oil is a low-grade mixture of olive oil and canola oil that has been deodorized and artificially colored — even if the label states “extra virgin, cold pressed.” Even if the label states that it was made in Italy.

Eat Right for Your Shoe Size

girleatingsandwichby Vic Shayne, PhD

Is it really possible to design a daily dietary regimen based on your blood type? I’ve heard of a lot of different diets that sound too good to be true. Why? Because we are too unique for blood type, genetic makeup or body form alone to offer enough information to determine your daily nutritional needs. Just for example, these types of criteria do not tell you whether you’ve been exposed to toxins, have been in an accident, are under a lot of stress, are over weight, etc.

In addition, your body is both complex and dynamic. Essentially, this means that your body is intricate, with untold biochemical interactions going on at the same time, and these factors are ever-changing, from day to day, hour to hour and minute by minute. A cookbook recipe for nutrition just doesn’t do the job.

This is why it is best to first follow a wise eating program, then tweak the plan for your individual needs, based on how you are feeling right now, taking into account your work, play, stress, relationships, symptoms, diseases, etc. Here are a few of the basics of health:

  1. Eat a well-rounded diet of nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits and protein, with minimal amounts of grain.
  2. Avoid man-made chemicals, as these cause cancer and a wide variety of symptoms and diseases
  3. Eliminate desserts except for special occasions, and then make sure they are all natural
  4. Eliminate junk food, fast food and processed foods. The artificial ingredients and altered fats are disase-causers
  5. Exercise, exercise, exercise: 5 times a week for at least a half hour per session
  6. Find a way to eliminate or release your stress: yoga, boxing, massage, jumping jacks, jogging, dancing, wrestling, watching a good movie, talking things out, breathing exericses, Tai Chi, golf, tennis and water balloon fights. Just get your mind off your problems and learn how to put things into perspective

If you cannot eat all the right foods, then I strongly recommend whole food supplements. These are NOT vitamin pills or multivitamins. They are infinitely better! They will help you eat right for your own condition, which is better advice than any fad diet can offer.
