Bill Needs YOUR Health Advice
In Health Questions on February 13th, 2008 | 395 views
We received a letter from an email subscriber named Bill, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, who eats lunch at McDonalds four times a week. He’s 27 years old, works in a print shop and does no exercise. Bill told us that he’s perfectly healthy and happy at 40 pounds overweight. He’s 5’11″ and weighs 238 pounds. His exercise? Playing video games.
“And I walk from my car across the parking lot to the building where I work. Sometimes, if I don’t get in early enough, I have to park way in the back, so it’s a longer work.”
Bill wrote us, oddly enough, for advice on health, asking us what he can do to ensure that he won’t get sick when he gets into his 40s. Bill said, “I’m a typical American male. My sofa is my best friend and my meals are convenient, although my microwave is getting a little overworked. My dad had a heart attack when he was 50 and my mom has diabetes, but I don’t have any of their problems. Is there some sort of pill I can take for future prevention?”
What would YOUR advice be to Bill?
Here’s one from Anne Bentley, MN:
“Hey, Bill, you’re in denial. Get off the couch and do something with your life.”
